Expertise

Shelcey has experience caring for patients in a wide variety of settings, including inpatient and outpatient services such as treatment of acute and chronic conditions and postoperative care of orthopaedic, urologic and medical-surgical patients. She recently managed complex care needs in diverse clinical settings at Medical Directions Staffing Agency in Columbia, South Carolina. Prior to this role, she provided inpatient care for medical and surgical inpatients across multiple specialties at Aya Healthcare in Greer and Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Background

Shelcey started her career in patient care as a licensed practical nurse from Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College and earned an associate degree in nursing there. She then completed a bachelor’s degree in nursing at Capella University, headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and went on to achieve a master’s degree as a family nurse practitioner from Anderson University in Anderson, South Carolina. She is also board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
