During Dr. Schechterly’s residency, he gained extensive experience in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of acute and chronic diseases affecting adults. He also completed rotations in various specialties, such as cardiology, endocrinology, infectious disease and pulmonary-critical care. Certified in advanced cardiovascular life support and basic life support, Dr. Schechterly served as an emergency room technician at Mercy Philadelphia Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, prior to his residency.

Background

Dr. Schechterly graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania and earned his medical degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia. He then completed his internal medicine residency at HCA Florida Bayonet Point Medical Center in Hudson, Florida.
