Expertise

A member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the American Medical Association and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, Dr. Gibson has extensive training and experience in the diagnosis and treatment of complex neurosurgical conditions and disorders, including cerebrovascular, endovascular, functional, neuro-oncology, neurotrama, pediatric, skull base and spinal neurosurgery. In addition, he has authored and co-authored more than 25 articles, abstracts, book chapters and case studies to peer-review journal publications.

Background

Dr. Gibson graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and cell biology from the University of California San Diego in La Jolla and earned a master’s degree in physiology from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Cincinnati, Ohio. He went on to complete his neurological surgery residency there, serving as chief resident. He also served as a mentor for the Medical Student Scholarship Program at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.
