About Dr. Rac

Dr. Rac provides comprehensive urologic care and treatments for urologic conditions.

Expertise

During his surgical urologic oncology fellowship, Dr. Rac received comprehensive training in the evaluation and management of urologic malignancies and gained advanced expertise in the multidisciplinary management of urologic cancers, including radiation oncology, medical oncology, urologic imaging and pathology, as well as extensive experience in minimally invasive and robotic surgery.

Background

Dr. Rac graduated summa cum laude from Clemson University Calhoun Honors College in Clemson, South Carolina, with a bachelor’s degree in bioengineering and biomaterials. He then earned his medical degree, graduating with honors, from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and completed his urology residency at MUSC as well, serving as chief resident. He went on to complete a surgical urologic oncology fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois.

Leadership

Dr. Rac sits on the Board of Directors of the South Carolina Urological Association and is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Urological Association, the Biomedical Engineering Society and the South Carolina Medical Association.

Medical Research

Dr. Rac has co-authored and presented more than 50 peer-reviewed journal articles, textbook chapters, podium and poster presentations, abstracts and grand round presentations, and currently serves as an ad hoc reviewer for The Journal of Urology. For his commitment to research, Avant-Garde Health named him a Healthcare Research All Star, which recognizes the top 5% in publishing leading-edge research in urology.
